The EA/EAP series is Shandong Juxi's (SJMC) new-generation intelligent electric actuator line. The core upgrade in one line: absolute-encoder position sensing — valve position survives power loss, zero wear, long life, high noise immunity, and no battery required. Four formats cover every valve-automation motion: EA multi-turn (34–16,000 N·m), EAP modulating, EAPL linear thrust, and EA/RG·EAP/RG quarter-turn (with gearbox, up to 14,000 N·m output); power supplies 220/380/415/440/460V; mounting flanges per ISO 5210 (F10–F40). Series lineup, specification data and commissioning highlights below, with the complete official 41-page manual (PDF) at the end.

1. Product highlights
- Absolute encoder: valve position never lost — high precision, zero wear, long life, strong anti-interference, no battery support needed (unlike incremental-encoder-plus-battery schemes: no battery replacement, no low-battery anxiety);
- Dual data backup: main board and position encoder back each other up — after a main-board swap, "read parameters" restores travel settings in one step; after an encoder swap, "download parameters" backs up in reverse — major overhauls never touch the settings;
- Power-on self-check: commands, program area, data area and A/D conversion checked in sequence; any fault shows its code in the alarm area and blocks operation;
- Universal supply: 220/380/415/440/460V — five voltage classes covering typical plants worldwide;
- Standard interfaces: ISO 5210 flanges (F10–F40); drive sleeves can be machined to the valve on site; A/Z/Z3 bases cover different stem diameters.
2. EA multi-turn series specifications

| EA40 | 18/24/36/48 | 1020/1020/845/680 | 64(76) | 2.14 | F25 (i=15:1) |
| EA70 | 18/24/36/48 | 2030/2030/1700/1350 | 70(83) | 4.46 | F30 (i=15/20:1) |
| EA90 | 18/24/36/48 | 3000 (18 rpm) | 70(83) | 5.81 | F30 (i=15/45:1) |
| EA95 | — | 8000 / 16000 | — | 4.41–8.11 | F35 / F40 |
Note: EA70 also comes in IS35/IS40.1–40.3 torque sub-versions; for direct gate-valve mounting, prefer lower speed steps (drive-sleeve wear). Torque coverage 34–16,000 N·m.
3. EAP modulating series
The EAP series is optimized for high-cycle modulating duty, adding an axial rated load parameter: EAP10 (17 N·m / 44 kN) → EAP20 (81 N·m / 100 kN) → EAP25 (152 N·m / 100 kN) → EAP35 (271 N·m / 150 kN) → EAP40 (453 N·m / 220 kN) → EAP70 (810 N·m / 334 kN) → EAP95 (6400 N·m / 1100 kN) — ample thrust margin for modulating service.
4. Quarter-turn (EA/RG·EAP/RG) and linear (EAPL)
- Quarter-turn: multi-turn base + RG gearbox, output torque from 540 N·m (EA10/RG3-40) up to 14,000 N·m (EA35/RG7-60) with 90° stroking times of 13–116s; EAP quarter-turn versions span 225–3000 N·m — exactly the "actuator + gearbox" pairing, now as a factory-matched combination;
- Linear EAPL: screw-thrust type — EAPL10 with ø25/6 screw, 51mm stroke, thrust 15.9 kN (1.5mm/s) to 7.94 kN (4mm/s); EAPL20 upward with ø32–36 screws and stepped thrust/stroke, ISO 5210 F10/F14 flanges.
5. Commissioning highlights (manual chapter 7)
- Dual local knobs: red selector (stop/local/remote) + black control knob (open/close), jog or maintained modes;
- Menu system [1]–[20]: close direction and close-position confirmation (absolute-encoder ten-thousandths display), open position, torque protection, SX latched contacts (9 selectable states: closed/open limit, over-torque, opening, closing... — retained through power loss) and RX non-latched expansion contacts; intermediate positions settable 1%–99%;
- Advanced functions: ESD configuration; intermittent running (pulsed travel between configurable start/end positions in each direction — lengthening stroke time to prevent hydraulic shock and surging, a boon on large water systems); 4–20mA two-point calibration against the DCS; normal/inverted display;
- Alarms & feedback: MONI non-latched alarm dry contact (terminals 30/31/32) reporting phase loss, motor overheat, simultaneous open/close commands, analog-signal loss, ESD present, internal faults and more; mode-knob status contact (terminals 15/16).
6. Installation notes
- All flanges per ISO 5210; the drive sleeve can be removed and machined to suit the valve;
- Never mount upside down; vertical/horizontal per model weight, hoisting for large frames;
- Reserve maintenance space; EA20 and up accept side handwheels (i=10:1–45:1) for power-fail emergency operation.
Summary
- One core: absolute encoder — no position loss, no battery, zero wear;
- Four formats: EA multi-turn (34–16,000 N·m) / EAP modulating / EAPL linear / EA·RG quarter-turn (to 14,000 N·m), ISO 5210 interfaces, five supply voltages;
- Two signature functions: intermittent running against hydraulic shock, and main-board–encoder mutual data backup — details in the manual PDF.
