Passive signal-isolating terminal block (DC-DC isolation, 4-20 mA in / 4-20 mA out)
The passive signal-isolating terminal block (for electric actuators) needs no auxiliary supply: the input side receives a 4–20 mA signal, a DC-DC isolation stage regenerates it, and the output side re-emits 4–20 mA with full galvanic isolation between input and output loops. The module carries IN and OUT terminals plus mounting holes and clips onto standard DIN rail.
In analogue loops between actuators and DCS/PLC, when a potential difference exists between the command and feedback signal negatives, such passive isolators cut interference paths, prevent short-circuit currents from earth-potential differences, and protect DCS cards and actuator control boards.
