The segmental orifice plate suits liquids containing solid particles or entrained air — wet steam, producer gas, coke-oven gas, blast-furnace gas, mixed gas, flue gas, oily water etc. It may be mounted only in horizontal or inclined pipes, never vertical.

3.1 Measuring range: tappings generally corner type; nominal bore 100 mm ≤ DN ≤ 3000 mm; diameter ratio 0.46 ≤ β ≤ 0.84; Reynolds number 2×10⁵ ≤ ReD ≤ 10⁶; nominal pressure 0.6–4.0 MPa.
3.2 Model designation: JSY-YQ (JSY — throttling device; YQ — segmental orifice plate).
