Maxonic MF Series Intelligent Variable-Frequency Electric Actuators: From 2000Nm to 800,000Nm
The MF series is the intelligent variable-frequency electric actuator independently developed by Maxonic (Shenzhen Maxonic Automation Co., Ltd., stock code 300112, founded 1994, A-share listed, national high-tech enterprise), pioneering the application of intelligent frequency-converter control to electric actuator drives. The MF series comes in multi-turn, quarter-turn and linear forms, widely used in power, petroleum, chemical, metallurgy and water-treatment industries for the open/close and modulating control of control valves, butterfly valves, ball valves, gate valves, globe valves, dampers and more.

Core Technology: Intelligent Variable-Frequency Control
- Frequency speed control: AC-DC-AC conversion with rectifier/filter circuit, IGBT power module and PWM modulation, combined with years of proprietary algorithms, controls motor direction, speed and torque
- Functions: operating speed set by control signal type; soft start/stop reduces valve shock (max. 180% rated torque starting torque); advanced algorithms achieve precise positioning, effectively eliminating water hammer; supply voltage/frequency fluctuations barely affect the output
- Electronic torque detection: no mechanical torque-measurement mechanism — more precise, stable and reliable
- Distinctive protection: power-off self-locking plus mechanical auto-locking double safety; rain/dust/corrosion proof; double-sealed IP68; C5-M anti-corrosion grade for highly corrosive atmospheres
- 3-inch display and infrared remote control

Functional Features
- Automatic blockage removal: when a valve sticks from scaling, crystallisation or debris, the actuator automatically applies a permitted extra torque (factory-set at 1.2~1.8× rated torque) and retries; if the sticking point is not fixed it breaks through without human intervention
- Flexible stop: decelerates automatically near the open/close ends and outputs only after full arrival — extending service life
- Speed and torque settings: by control signal type (switching type: local open/close, remote open/close; modulating type: 4~20mA input, 40%~100% setting range)
- Two end-position limit methods:
- Far-off (torque) limit: automatic deceleration before the end, low-speed creeping; on suitable resistance the torque sensor signals seated position and the actuator stops immediately — for wedge gate and globe valves
- Position mode: stops on the position signal — for applications needing precise positioning
- Intermediate position setting: any intermediate position can be defined as full open or full close (manual commissioning only)
- Comprehensive protection: over-torque, over-current, over-temperature and phase-sequence-error protection; motor over-heat and stall protection (signal hold); phase-loss protection with automatic phase-sequence correction; instantaneous-reversal protection; abnormal supply-voltage protection; external control-power loss protection
