CFME2026 Opens in Shanghai: Dual-Expo Format Debuts with 800+ Exhibitors

source:original    date:2026-10-21

At 9:30 on October 21, 2026, at the north entrance hall of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), the 13th China (Shanghai) International Fluid Machinery Exhibition (CFME2026) and the 2026 International Industrial Valve Expo officially opened — declared open by Zhang Wenhong, Deputy Secretary of the China Machinery Industry Federation, with a keynote from Huang Li, President of the China General Machinery Industry Association (CGMA). The standout change this edition: a dual-expo format — industrial valves, for the first time, run as a standalone expo alongside the fluid-machinery main show. The exhibition covers 75,000 m² with 800+ exhibitors (up from 50,000 m²/640 in 2024) across Halls 2.1, 3 and 4.1; actuators, measurement & control instruments and intelligent control systems are within the main show's scope, and new-product launches in the actuator field are scheduled during the show. Actuator makers including Rotork, Chuan Yi (CQI), YEPEF, TET, SCIYON and Zhonghuan are clustered in Hall 2.1. The show runs October 21–23. Source: CGMA official WeChat announcement.

1. Thirteen editions: from 5,000 m² to 75,000 m²

Founded in 2001 and held every two years, the exhibition has grown with the general-machinery industry: from 5,000 m² in 2001, to 50,000 m² with 640+ exhibitors and 60,000 professional visitors at the 12th edition in 2024, to 75,000 m² and 800+ exhibitors this year. In her address, President Huang Li noted that general machinery serves power, metallurgy, oil & gas, petrochemicals, coal processing, new energy, nuclear power and water utilities; recent breakthroughs include million-ton ethylene compressor trains, long-distance pipeline compressor units, nuclear-class pumps and valves, and ultra-supercritical power-plant valves.

2. Dual expos: industrial valves become a standalone show

The most significant change: beyond the fluid-machinery main show, CGMA for the first time runs an International Industrial Valve Expo as a standalone event. The main show covers pumps, fans, compressors, vacuum equipment, gas separation, drying, separation machinery, speed reducers, plus seals, bearings, pipe fittings, actuators, measurement & control instruments and intelligent control systems — the full "R&D–manufacturing–matching–integration–O&M" chain. The valve expo occupies Hall 2.1, spanning gate, ball, butterfly, globe, check, control and safety valves, plus cryogenic, high-temperature/high-pressure, nuclear and ultra-pure valves, extending to castings/forgings, sealing materials, positioners, and testing & maintenance services.

Valves moving from "embedded supporting role" to standalone show reflects both industry specialization and rising user demands from petrochemical, LNG, power, nuclear and semiconductor-clean processes. A special innovation zone showcases first-(set)-of-its-kind equipment and localization achievements.

3. Exhibits plus conferences: a dense three-day program

Across October 21–23, six conference tracks run alongside the exhibits: one-on-one matchmaking with delegations organized by VDMA (German Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Association), the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and Middle East and European buyer groups; concentrated new-product launches in the actuator, valve and intelligent-control fields with on-site interpretations of group, product, low-carbon and reliability standards; and technical forums on energy saving and decarbonization, digitalization and smart manufacturing, hydrogen fluid equipment, and valve reliability in extreme conditions.

4. Next edition announced: Shanghai, 2028

President Huang Li announced at the opening that the 14th China (Shanghai) International Fluid Machinery Exhibition will be held October 18–20, 2028, in Shanghai. Our exhibition calendar has been updated accordingly.

Summary

  • Dual expos: the fluid-machinery main show (including actuators, instruments and intelligent control) plus a standalone industrial-valve expo — full industry-chain coverage;
  • Scale step-up: 75,000 m², 800+ exhibitors, with an innovation zone concentrating first-of-its-kind equipment and localization achievements;
  • Next edition fixed: October 18–20, 2028, Shanghai.
